Scholars and thought leaders deserve to be financially rewarded for their work. At Exact Rush, we have created a legitimate direct-to-market publication workflow empowering writers and creatives to retain the equity of their work. This includes an emphasis on non-traditional knowledge venues like YouTube, Social Media, as well as print fiction and creative non-fiction. Rather than consider these ventures superfluous to the “serious” work of scholarship, we treat these venues as the archives of tomorrow, meaning more money for authors both now and down the road.

Academic Publishing is broken. Exact Rush is working diligently with various partners and stakeholders to create an open, accreditation infrastructure enabling direct-to-market and other non-traditional publication and content creation/curation to count towards tenure and promotion. While we work towards this longterm goal, we build relationships with authors even if we’re not (yet) able to publish their monographs.

Our promise to authors is we will train, mentor, guide, and communicate every step of the production cycle, including proposal submission, review and revisions, copyediting, and marketing. We strive to empower our authors enough that they are able to publish their next projects themselves (retaining even more value).
